Today was a bit trying, we had to get up early and hitch up
Girt to get her some

new shoes. We have run out of spares and a couple are looking
a bit tired, no pun intended (or was there?) so we decided 4 new shoes on the
road might let us drive a little easier, at Maureen as she still refuses to
give it a go. We took the old girl into the tyre place and dropped her off. We were
promised that he would try and get them done by 12 and would ring us.
Off to town we went and found the nearest Coffee Club and
had a coffee and toast. I had a read and Maureen wandered the shops and we got
a call just on 11

saying Girt was all shod in shiny new shoes and was ready to
roll, literally. Back we went, paid the bill and hit the road.
Speaking of roads we had about a 4 hour trip that took us
over 6 hours. There was so much road works going on and traffic stops. Wait and
wait and then crawl on then just get up to speed and stop again. Maureen reckons
we did about twenty of them. The roads in Queensland are terrible. I do not
know what they spend their money on, but it is not roads. Anyway, we drove down
the Bruce Highway until

we hit Hervey Bay. I will let you in on a secret,
whilst everyone is bombing Iraq to get ISIS, they should be looking closer to
home. There is a big sign saying ISIS control centre right outside Hervey Bay,
who knew! We are at Frazier Lodge Caravan Park and it is just delightful. We have

for bite to eat – Barramundi, chips, prawns, scallops and
salad, delicious.
Tomorrow we fly out and go to Sydney, cannot wait now.
